A global network
We are part of an international network of large-scale landscape restoration initiatives in South Africa, Australia and the Netherlands amongst others, created by Commonland. As part of that network Aland aims to support the environmental, economic and social regeneration of the Iberian Peninsula.
We participate in the Bonn Challenge, a global effort to restore 350 million hectares of degraded and deforested land worldwide by 2030.
We believe that it is possible to restore local large-scale landscapes inspired by a shared global vision. Our flagship example is the work of AlVelAl in the Altiplano Estepario, acting as a catalyst and inspiration for others in Spain and Portugal.
